GAZA (Reuters) - Masked gunmen stormed into a club for United Nations workers in Gaza City on Sunday and blew up the drinking hall in a new sign of spiralling unrest ahead of a Palestinian election.
It was the first such attack in Gaza on a U.N. target and came against a backdrop of growing unease among foreigners. Just over one day earlier, a group freed three British hostages that had been seized to demand foreign pressure on Israel.

Any foreigners in the Gaza strip deserve what they get!
Warning! This is a high-volume ping list.
I'm not sure how I feel about this one.
Yeah, the filthy Palestinians are ready for their own state. Sheesh. We all knew this stuff was coming, but Im surprised to see the reports in the msm..
Hamas will openly have charge soon
Targeted because they're UN or because they were drinking?
"The club has been there for 50 years," said one U.N. security worker. "This is the first time anything like this has happened."
Lie down with pigs, get muddy. It's as simple as that.
Maybe this put a fire under the U.N.'s feet. Slaughter hundreds of thousands in Rwanda, blow up Israeli civilians in buses--no big deal. But touch the U.N.'s liquor stash, and somebody's just asking for trouble!
I'd pop up a big drum of popcorn just to sit back and watch Israel wrap the UN blanket about themselves and retaliate big-time on the "UN's behalf". What fun and irony that would be.
The UN will simply cut and run!
Maybe they'll be dlieberate and consult with the French first, after which they'll cut and run like all Hell's behind them.
If Abbas can't get control of Gaza, not even to mention the West Bank, then it is just a matter of time before Israel defends itself decisively. The Pali's have had more than their share of opportunities. But as one Israeli premier once said, the Palis "never miss a chance to miss a chance."
I'd like to see Israel pass a resolution condemning the U.N. for "provoking" the Palestinians and caution them against "escalating the violence."
More attacks like this one are inevitable. I wonder how long will the world persist in the liberal fantasy that the Palestinians are a "people" who only want self-determination?
Hmmm, didn't the MSM tell us that everything was going to be just fine once the Palestinians got control of Gaza? If I recall, the only problem was Israeli oppression of these poor people. Gee whiz. Did they lie to us?
I'd go there too. Just having fun with the irony.
lol
Kofi and co. will still blame this on the occupation.
