When I was about 4 or 5, we were at a couple's house on New Year's Eve. When we left to go home, the older man, who was like a grandfather to me, said, "I'll see you next year!" I said, "No, I'll see you tomorrow!" As he insisted it would be "next year" I could not understand how that could be, and we joked around for several minutes that evening. Funny what a person remembers from childhood, isn't it?

I forgot to add, Dubya really laughed when I told him that story tonight when I called to wish him Happy New Year. He said to tell you "HI" too. :-)

I think I have an 'inside' way into being on Survivor... me breaking my foot falling down the stairs to see the damn show! Now they think I have to have surgery to repair the bone- 2 pins and a bone graf.

my mom and grandma and i celebrated at home. they just got home from a 3 day vacation to washington dc to the national zoo to see the baby panda because my mom loves pandas....
i wish i would have been able to go out with some friends but i always seem to get a nasty cold or a touch of the flu during new years...oh well lol.

I'm hooked up to a bone growth stimulator and they'll do another set of x-rays on the 18th. I test for my black belt on the 21st. LOL. Timing is everything, huh?
