Fact is, if Roethlisberger hadn't been knocked out of the lineup, the Steelers would be shooting for a 13-3 record and a possible No. 2 seed. Their only losses would be to New England, Indianapolis and Cincinnati.
The Tommy Maddox factor, far more than any other, put this team in the hole it's in.
"Fact is"???
The "fact IS" that Roethlisberger WAS knocked out of the lineup.
Yes, Maddox sucked Big Time, but it is still just speculation that the Stillers would've won.

Please don't misunderstand, I'm still gonna be rootin' for the Stillers...
and I'm glad to see Ben back in the lineup...
But he still has two bum knees, and I'm not convinced that he's 100%.

Yes I hear you, he's not 100%. His thumb is still a problem and he's got some leg problems. But after playing a little and watching pro sports for five decades I have often noticed that some player play better when they are a little physically challenged. Sometimes it's best to be a little hurt. But saying that, I still would like Ben to be 100%.

Anyhow, we'll see.

Go Stillers.
