The basic point is that Defense & Foreign Affairs has a proven track record of horrid BS news articles. They actually believed in all those claimed NATO losses in both manpower and manned aircraft. If they cannot even get the basic facts correct then all their 'un-named NATO sources' hyperbole can be taken with a pinch of salt.

True, but (the last I remember) according to NATO their intention was not to take him out. Allegedly, the house had a bunker and contained communications equipment which made it a 'legitimate military target'- whether he was in the house or not.
