CBS is absolutely nuts. What's in the water cooler over there?

According to comments made by both the executive and legislative branch, the national security committee knew about it.

Rockefeller even produced a hand written letter, (when it was written is another question) claiming he had misgivings about the program.

I suspect the FBI doesn't have to go much further than the well of the senate to find the guilty party.

Whatever it is, I think CBS must be feeding it to its advertisers and shareholders.

Years ago, when Barbara Boxer was Mayor of San Francisco, the cops were hunting the Night Stalker, the serial killer who'd murdered six or seven people in southern California, and then hopped a bus north, where he began killing in San Francisco. The one real clue the cops had was his shoe print. They'd identified the brand of shoe, and it was a new product. They had every expectation of tracking him down as long as this was kept secret. Boxer was told this, and immediately held a press conference where she held up a picture of the shoe print and announced to the entire world that they had this clue. Ramirez changed shoes, of course. Well, nothing's changed. Liberals, the NYTimes, WashPost, are all alike and they're still at it.

Said misgivings were quoted by the NYT pretty early on, weren't they? Almost like they knew right were to go.

Loved the report that in an interview at the Houston airport during the holidays, one of the Wilson/Plame 5 yr. old twins told the reporter, "My daddy is famous, and my mommy's a spy!" Yep, that was a real secret. Wonder if the kids brought her secret decoder ring to Show and Tell at school.

When it dawns on the peons at CBS and stockholders that there are things more important than their jobs and portfolios...their very lives, for instance, then things will change. But I'll bet it will take a dem in the White House for that to happen. Until then, they don't give a damn how many Americans die.

True enough, and I think there is another motive as well. NSA during this time equals Condi Rice. Liberals plan long term and Morris has this book out there promoting a campaign of Hillry and Condi. Now somewhere on FR in the past couple of days I read an article about Hillry's reaction.

Hillry was adamantly opposed to spying on Americans... ha ha ha....

The polygraph really doesn't work. That's the problem. The notion that the polygraph is accurate is one that was created by the media. It's junk science.

So the 9-11 commission's most recent report says the Bush Administration is doing a lousy job in protecting us.

Well, thank goodness this leak came out. I feel safer already knowing that Usama is now hiring US CITIZENS for operations WITHIN THE UNITED STATES and the Presidents War Powers will be diminished by Congress.

I never thought I would say this but whoever leaked this should be hung by the neck for treason.

Compare this to the Valerie "I never met a camera I didn't strip for" Plame story.

She is a leftist bitch, but Val Plame is also a hottie.

Not for nothing...but these leaks are linked to Hillary and Bubba.

Plamegate: Matt Cooper is hubby of Mandy Grunwald and Hillary's best friend. Hillary even gave Mandy a baby shower at the Whitehouse. Mandy is Bubba's former campaign manager.

The FISA judge who just resigned is well connected to the Clintons.

Our modern "journalists" wouldn't know news if it ran over them. They are too preoccupied with reading the editorial page of the New York Times to do any real journalistic work. If they want a story, all they do is go to their usual "sources", consisting mostly of politicos with an agenda to push.

Sandy Berger should be in prison. He should have been in custody since he was discovered STEALING classified documents.

From a declassified document at the FISA: Richard Clarke is giving a presentation. It's very long but I think it is worth reading. These are tidbits and I will post them separately so I can comment:

This one refers to the beginning of the Clinton Administration: "President Bush (Senior) approved the first in his administration policies on terrorism. It was a narrow document looking only at the issue of whether or not we could snatch terrorists and others who the United States have warrants for.

Page 6: The President (Bush Senior) laid down a procedure under which we could do snatches; that was NSD-77. Shortly thereafter, the administration ended, the Clinton administration came into office; and the furthest thing from his mind in terms of their policy agenda was terrorism.

That changed within a month. Within a month, there had been "TWO SERIOUS TERROR ATTACKS" in the United States, the first time in anyone's memory that foreign terrorists had come to the United States to commit attacks. THE FIRST WAS THE ATTACK ON THE CIA GATEHOUSE IN MCLEAN, VIRGINIA. The second was the bombing of the World Trade Center.

I think this is the first time that I have heard about the CIA Gatehouse. Anyone else remember??

"Well, since there could have been dozens who leaked the information..."

This is not accurate. CBS said that dozens knew and were not happy with the task. How they know that, I have not idea.

Video clip:

The BIG LIE is that NSA was spying on U.S. citizens without Court approval.
We are at WAR. Enemies do not have citizenship status.
EOM to leftists reading this!

Thank you for replying.

I used to appreciate her "prep school looks", but now I'd just like to deliver a pie to her face, ala Soupy Sales............. as Michelle Malkin should do some time in the future to 'Spitball Matthews'!

When it dawns on the peons at CBS ....

Not gonna happen....See this:

Unholy Alliance : Radical Islam and the American Left

And a very good review:

*********************************

Vastly Illuminating, September 25, 2004

Reviewer: Kat Bakhu (Albuquerque, NM United States) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
I had long wondered why people on the Left had the propensity to speak more positively about people who would slit their throats than they do about their own country, which affords them more freedom and opportunity than anywhere else. David Horowitz has answered that question thoroughly and convincingly in his Unholy Alliance. Where I felt bewildered and confused, I now feel crystal clear. Unholy Alliance is such a great book.

It begins with the leftist movements at the beginning of the 20th Century, and works its way up to the present day, exploring the anti-American attitude of these movements in detail. Horowitz shows that the enemies of the US back then are largely the same group today, operating under the same misperceptions, making the same mistakes, and pursuing the same impossible utopia.

Individual chapters are included on the Patriot Act (I was persuaded that it is a GOOD thing); the democratic flip-flop on Iraq once G.W. Bush implemented what they agreed with Clinton needed to be done; the driving components of the current anti-war movement; as well as chapters on individual personalities who are major spokespeople of the Left. Horowitz covers a lot of ground, and he covers it concisely and clearly. Unholy Alliance is richly informative without ever being boring or plodding.

This book is so illuminating that I simply cannot do justice to it here. I love people who reason so clearly that they help me get my own reasoning clear. Horowitz is just that type of person! In the terrain of mindless clichés (no-blood-for-oil, etc.), he is a breath of real fresh air.
