With reference to the picture......
I wonder if Mary Magdeline is cold?
Aintcha hurd? That thar cowboy done got hisself a snow machine. Iz all his re venge.
Not at all. I've lived there. Electricity is very expensive. Hence no dryers, hence the synthetic fabrics (which make the Europeans a stinky bunch to be around), hence people maintaining their homes at around 50F, women walking around their homes draped in shawls moving like invalids, its all the compassion of socialism. Or, in the words of Winston Churchill, the inherent vice of capitalism is the unequal sharing of wealth; the inherent vice of socialism is the equal sharing of miseries.
It gets as hot as an Indiana summer, they drop like flies from heat stroke. It gets as cold as an Indiana winter, they freeze to death.
Pffft! Wussies.
That's what I was thinking too. I guess it all depends on what you're used to. Though most of the deaths were of homeless people who probably wouldn't fare much better left outside in an American winter.
If anyone has any pictures of Florence in the snow, I would love to see them!
I'm nice and warm next to my woodburner. Doin' my best to warm up the atmosphere.
ping.
