No more Lions... Now they have a younger group, called Tigers, starts in 1st grade.

Progress is:

Tiger
Bobcat
Wolf
Bear

The above three are CUBS

Then you have WEBLOS (We'll Be Loyal Scouts)
Year 1 and Year 2.

There is no longer a Lion rank.

I was an Army brat overseas in the 50s. After Cubs, a kid could move on to Boy Scouts or join the Sea Scouts (kind of like Explorers). I chose BSA and made it to Life.
My mom was a Den Mother for a couple of years and my dad ran the .22 shooting program for the Cubs and Boy Scouts.
