Park View Middle School is where my 9 month old girl would eventually be attending classes if me and the wife (a public school teacher in Cranston) hadn't already decided on private school. Below is a link to the aforementioned letters, be forewarned they are mind numbingly lame.

"Seal said it benefits the paper by giving readers a chance to see letters written on complex topics and to learn what younger people think about national and international issues." Could also be a back check on how successful the NEA indoctrination has been.

No wonder concerned parents often opt to send their kids to private or parochial schools. The insane leftist educrats have destroyed education via liberal experimentation with childrens minds and call it learning. And we pay taxes for this crapola? And the educrats have kniptions about allowing a 30 sec. silent moment for students. Putrid rotten to the core is public education. The fruits of demented liberalism run amok.

["I don't know exactly how this came about, but it is a matter of concern," Scherza said. "From my perspective, it's not about the issue of gay marriage, but a question of what are age-appropriate issues for our students, and in this case I think the [subject] was not appropriate."]
Fine. Let's just keep ALL discussion of controversial ideas and moral issues out of public schools and stick to competently teaching students math, science, reading, writing, history, and other basics until they master those subjects.

"We really have to look closely at the judgment of people dealing with our children" The importance of that comment cannot be stressed enough. This is yet another reason to homeschool.
I no longer have any sympathy for those parents who put their kids in government schools.
