SATELLITE IMAGERY INDICATES THAT AN AREA OF LOW PRESSURE IN THE EASTERN ATLANTIC HAS DEVELOPED INTO A TROPICAL STORM ABOUT 1000 MILES SOUTH-SOUTHWEST OF THE AZORES. A SPECIAL ADVISORY ON TROPICAL STORM ZETA IS IN PREPARATION AND WILL BE ISSUED IN AN HOUR OR SO.

Family just returned from Nassau. Coldest Dec I've ever seen. Glad we're ahead of this storm. Last year we got caught up in the UselessAir and Delta labor actions. When we arrived in CVG, the baggage numbered in the tens of thousands. Like sand dunes.

Anybody have that graphic of that guy holding his forhead saying "Oh jeez, not this bleep again."
We need a cold winter to help cool down the gulf waters. Sadly, it isn't happening to that extent yet down here and elsewhere on the Gulf and south Atlantic coast

In Western North Carolina, Wednesday night we had a thunder storm that was one of the worst we have had in years.
Looking for snow and got hail and lighting. Go figure!

My grandfather always said when you have lighting and thunder in the winter, expect snow within two weeks!
