Witch hunt!! Surely this is not as important as finding out who "outed" Plame. Vast right-wing conspiracy at it again. </sarcasm>

I'll ask again in this post.
What was leaked that was not well known?
Everyone knows the government spies. We just didn't know he was doing it without warrants. So is the leak that he didn't get warrants? That doesn't help the terrorist!

About 15 minutes ago, I heard this reported as "breaking news" on MSNBC, went to their website and found this article.

I just noticed Pete Williams contributed to the article.

I predict a well known Senator from Massachusetts will be found as the culprit and will receive just a slap on the wrist!

It's not the "what" that was leaked so much as the "who".

Who in the service of this country leaked secret information to The New York Times and Wash Post?

No, knowing that the mere act of picking up a phone, any phone and calling somebody even in the US can trigger a tape recorder helps the terrorist.

I thought it was leaked by agents who resigned in fear of being prosecuted for illegally spying?
Didn't the FISA judge resign too?

'What was leaked that was not well known? '

Just because it is "known", doesn't make it lawful to disclose. You'd be surprised what isn't "known" out there. But if you did, you would probably feel free to disclose it because it was so well "known". Self-adjudicating dolts with attitudes like yours is how this happens in the first place. That and uneven applications of the sanctions available.

I suspect every criminal in the world who is planning to break the law has been paranoid to talk on the phone afraid that it may be tapped.

Seems it would hamper the terrorists ability to communicate if they were scared to phone or email.
