Consider the following scenario:

2006 STATE OF THE UNION ADDRESS

"...My felow Americans, we have indeed made great progress on the War on Terror. With their recent elections on December 15, The iraqi people have sent a clear message to the terrorists and tyrants of this world. They desire freedom, and democracy is now beginning to flourish in Iraq. Terrorists are on the run, and every day more and more Iraqis are being trained to pursue them entirely on their own. The day when Iraqis will be able to stand on their own is in sight.

(applause)

Unfortunately, there are those in this country who either do not understand the need to fight terrorism where it exists or have forgotten the lessons of September the 11th. A few misguided inviduals have taken steps to damage our nation's efforts. As many of you are aware, there have been recent leaks to the media, involving the efforts of many dedicated individuals toward rooting out terorrists and preventing further attacks. Terrorists depend on their ability to enter our country in secret and carry out their actions beneath our notice. Leaking of our methods toward apprehending them alerts the terrorists and places all Americans in greater danger. This must not be allowed to stand. As many of you are also aware, our Department of Justice has been conducting investigations into those who are placing our citizens in greater danger. I have been notified that indictments will be goung out tomorrow. It is my tragic duty to say that some of them will be going to individuals in this sacred chamber."

They won't melt down. They'll go Chernobyl.
