A long time ago we Freepers suggested the possibility that the President may have been selectively releasing information to different parties just to see what hit the news and what didn't.
If that's the case, they know exactly who leaked what.....a perfect set-up....
I wouldn't be surprised if there's been an ongoing sting operation for quite a while. And frankly, insert tin foil hat here, I think the sting was more about certain individuals actually involved in taking money from the enemy. I keep saying this, but the entire world including third-rate African countries knew about Saddam's oil for food and NOBODY in big, mighty American knew a thing?
How about Newsweak's burning the koran story? I definitely think that could have been part of a sting. A sting done very carefully to follow the dots. Say a WH staffer is recruited to spread the story. The WH staffer pretends to be discontent with the admin and leaks to, say John McCain or Jay Rockefeller, news about the admin learning that a soldier at Gitmo burned a prisoner's Koran. Boom, Newsweek prints the story. They then follow the dots.
Even more disturbing, I really think there are people in this country, judges and congress critters, state dept defnitely, CIA...that were involved in that oil for food and are now willing to destroy this country, via destroying Bush, to cover their hides. By setting up this sting the admin's been able to follow the bread crumbs, then maybe do some investigating into their activities in the 90's. Lord Biden once held a fundraiser with a big poobah in Iran as a special guest. This is just the stuff we KNOW about.
The admin had to get Condi in state, Goss in CIA, Bolton at the UN....there's a pattern here.
Ask me about the Plame thing. I'm convinced that was a big sting operation. With, get this, J Miller and Woodward being CIA operatives.
