"Are you saying those handwritten notes are lost forever?"

They [Berger's lawyers] said the removal of documents was inadvertent but that Berger was aware he was violating the law when he removed his handwritten notes without submitting them for review by National Archives staff.

"INADVERTENT" removal of documents??? Why wasn't Berger prosecuted? Do you remember the media spin Berger's demorat colleaques issued? "Oh, Sandy is always messy with his paperwork."

"The Times says that it made the decision to publish because after they assessed the material they determined that it wouldn't damage natioinal security."

Interesting spin from The Times. Too bad their timing "killed" the Patriot Act and advances the sale of a book from an affiliated publisher.

The friggin' NY Slimes should NEVER have access to ANY security material, BUT NEVER! What madness! There are certain senators (e.g., the Quisling Quartet) who should never have access too!

"I agree, glad to see Novak on Fox."

Novak is stale...boring...antiquated. We really need fresh and inspiring voices. Young voters will not be inspired by Novak's insight. I prefer the spontaneous verve of Owlie North's analysis. I'd like to hear from returning veterans and national guard members. The same old sameold media "professional" pundits no matter their political bias are stale and boring, full of cliched thinking and responses. Why is Hannity so successful? He's young, committed, unsophisticated yet articulate, and wholesome.
Talk radio has a better representation than the easy chairs of tv media.

Thanks. Now I don't feel like that last unzapped guy in "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" - a more ominously prophetic sci fi film noir than most will credit.

Thanks for the article.

You're welcomed is my true response. My comment re: the film "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" still holds.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

it will never get anywhere. the press will sit on it til everyone forgets about it. a politician won't move unless he or she can get press coverage. so nothing will happen.

You would need the names of the people on the committee including those from last year. The NYT's got the story around Nov. of 2004

Tom Daschel would have also been on the list. He lost his senate seat after he was informed about the program.

I heard it, too. Sure makes the Plame-gate case look insignificant.

Also got a copy of a hot letter to NYT written by a woman that would like to see the NYT's head ripped off.

"I want to see some Journalists FROG MARCHED!"

Yes. Those, so-called people, have made such a mockery out of free speech. They've used the press in a twisted attempt to deal with their own bitterness.
