Preposterous. At the very least, that would be to acknowledge the supernatural nature of Hindu gods. And you wouldn't want to do that, would you?
The extremism in Hinduism -- the Thugee cult, the burning of widows -- have much more to do with tradition and culture than anything theologically Hindu.
There are evil elements to the hindu religion. In addition to being idolalters, which Christianity considers a sin, they engage in other practices that would be deemed morally unscrupulous by Christianity.
