I was just walking by tree trimmers at a local residence using a wood chipper the other day, and noticed how powerful the machine is to chop up thick braches. I imagine the man stuck his arm too far down into the machine when he was stuffing cut branches and it pulled him in.

Probably not. Big machines like Asplund use have hydraulic feeds. It probably grabbed his coat sleeve and drug him in. Happens occasionally to careless workers.

The chippers a lot of the pros use can easily grind a 14" tree. A person would go through without the machine even slowing down.
