Conservative has multiple meanings and, according to the definition, he is a conservative Islamist. That does not make him a Republican.

That will be CNN's defense "that a conservative Islamist is one in the same with a fundamentalist Islamist" because of multiple definitions.
Unfortunately their history leaves no doubt in my mind what their agenda is.
