I would like to see the Ark, if it exists. There is a church in central France that claims to have the toe of Mary Magdalene. We saw it but could not even confirm it is a real human toe. It just is a dried up ....... something..... I was disappointed, but don't know what I expected to see.

Supposedly it resides in a separate chapel in the Church of St. Mary. It is guarded by a priest who is chosen by his predecessor when a boy. He never leaves the premises but tends to the safety of the Ark.
Curiously, the Ethopian Christians have as part of their worship ritual copies of the Ark which they parade about during their services.
On the History Channel a few years ago they did an interesting piece on the Ark and how it wound up in Axum. Rather compelling too.
