I really don't think you are one to complain about a post to the mods. You stand your ground well even if I think it is quick sand. Living in Colorado we are and have been part of "ground zero" on illegal immigration. Our schools are suffering and hospital emergency rooms in Denver, Greeley, Colorado Springs, Ft Collins and Trinidad will testify to the cost of indigent and primarily hispanic health care. I do not know the statistics on incarcerated illegal Mexican citizens in our prison system. I will research it and post later. I do know one thing. It has to stop. If we have to go to some of the largest employers in the state and shut em down for a week or two so be it. The meat packing industry in this state is one of the biggest violators in the nation. We can not afford their cheap labor!!! You take away the carrot and the illegals will leave. These jobs were at one time done by local citizens at a decent wage. The illegals were used to break the Union and cut wages in half. Benefits of course followed the original workers out the door. The cost of medical services was placed on the local tax-payer and those who have insurance. There is no free lunch or medical service. Costs are paid by those who have insurance. It is sad that we have come this far but I have to blame the last "amnesty" during the Reagan years. We have never recovered. It is going to be like an "amputation" to correct the situation. But it has to be done.
For those that can afford health care. If you slip on the ice and split your elbow open, the bill for the emergency room to stitch you up will be 850 bucks. And that's before you get the bill for the x-rays.
