Representatives of the Georgian Ombudsman have visited Azeri journalist Gadjar Guseinov, who is imprisoned in Tbilisi Central Prison, said his brother Niyazi Guseinov, publisher of Yeni Dushunje newspaper, which was suspended in Tbilisi.
According to Niyazi Guseinov, the Ombudsman representatives told Gadjar they could not help him without explaining the reasons. Niyazi Guseinov reminded that several days ago his brother sewed up his mouth and went on a hunger strike, but Georgian Justice Ministry officers ripped up the stitches on his mouth. They did not allow a correspondent of the Georgian Mze TV-channel in the prison. On December 16, my brothers appeal will be considered. If my brother is not released, I would disseminate to the whole world the plan of phased expulsion of Azerbaijanis from Georgia, worked out by the Georgian Counterespionage Department.
Gajar Guseinov worked for the Yeni Dushunje newspaper as a photo correspondent and was sentenced for five years on the charge of libel, reports ARA.

Ok I'll bite.
Who the heck are the Azerbaijanis ?
From "benson"
Azerbaijanis are the people from the nation of Azerbaijan, bordering Georgia, Armenia and Iran.
Somehow that clears up things about as much as when a friend of mine told me they were going to the island of Yap. I asked them where the heck Yap was. The said it was by the island of Truck.
Thanks though and have a happy new year.
