Let's see...so you think the fence should be paid for by the federal government and that no states should help foot the bill?

All of the 50 states pay federal taxes. The federal govt is sworn to uphold the Constitution. What is difficult to understand here?

U.S. Constitution Article 4 Section 4:

"The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government,

and shall protect each of them against Invasion;"
