He expects a compromise between the Senate and the House on immigration bills. So what's a compromise to Cornyn, a massive amnesty/guest worker program with no fence? That's not compromise it's surrender and those in the House who actually care about this issue should tell the good Senators no deal.

Notice how a fence became a wall in Cornyn's and the mayor's comments? We have border crossing areas all along the southern border where those entering legally may cross. A fence only stops those who would cross illegally.

House who actually care about this issue should tell the good Senators no deal. No deal is exactly right! We are better off with the status quo then we are with a guest worker plan because once we open that Pandora's box we will never get it shut. There will be no need for any enforcement because our borders will be effectively erased.
I would rather wait until we have had a chance to make the American people just a little more angry and then we can start tossing Senators out of office.

TOUCHE' BUMP! They take us for fools to their own detriment.

A fence will only work if we change the "safe haven" approach to immigration that endures in our country. Remember that the Romans and Chinese built walls against barbarians. They ultimately failed because of the inability of either empires to implement effective policies on their side of the walls.

Erasing the border completely, forcing you to pay for a total infrastructure rehab through out Mexico, adding sixty million more illiterates to the welfare rolls, and forcing you to pay for the college education of every child in Mexico.
