Welcome to the culture war over Christmas. What has the Left and secular extremists hopping mad is the sight of conservatives fighting back. Americans don't want a Christmas-free culture. Oh the war will resume next year but by then hopefully the Secular Jihad will begin a head-long retreat.

It doesn't, and neither do the words "Happy Holidays".

All the proof you needed this season was the attempt by secularists at the Ridgeway Elementary School in Wisconsin to change the lyrics of Silent Night. This was ultimate in stupidity and vapidity ("Cold in the night, no one in sight, winter winds whirl and bite, how I wish I were happy and warm, safe with my family out of the storm.") and should cause alarm in hearts of all Americans.

Actually it was part of a "holiday" musical written by others that the school was going to put on. The school officials didn't change the words, but either way it was pretty stinky.

I went to the one and only grocery store in town today
and found that they had turned all the local newspapers
upside down at the counter. This is the first time I
had seen the papers upside down. Naturally, I look at
the headlines as I'm checking out to see if I want to
buy the paper. I turned the paper
over and there across the bottom of the page was this
huge "Merry Christmas". I'm sure that was the reason
as the store has a bad reputation for how it treats its
employees. My preacher use to work there and they
persecuted him all the time. This cheesy bit of
persecution is just what I would expect from their kind.

Great article. States in bold, well-reasoned points what the War on Christmas is all about.

My only gripe is that Feder should have emphasized this:

The problem isn't that store employee say "Happy Holidays" its that they are FORBIDDEN to say "Merry Christmas".

It isn't that school call it "Winter Break" its that schools have BEEN SUED BY THE ACLU to force them to call it Winter Break.

Its all about tolerance and respect for people's religious and cultural traditions.
