"Too bad for Lay and Skilling."

I was so disgusted watching the conference room videos of Ken Lay touting how well positioned Enron was for growth and the stock was primed for movement.

What a lying sack of #@%!! . All the while he was slowly selling off his own stock. I looked it up on the SEC website and he had numerous stock transactions selling small portions at a time so he would not raise attention to himself.

I don't have any stake in this particular company, but it mirrors allot of what is going on in corporate America. These corp execs are raping the companies and leaving investors in many cases hi and dry.

My corporation for instance has had several CEO's over the last ten years or so. Each one of them was forced out due to lack luster performance, yet walked away with millions in compensation and golden parachutes while the stock performance was stagnant at best.

Joe six pack, well we've had our benefits cut, cost raised, wages frozen, constant threat of layoffs, outsourcing, you name it. Each CEO that comes on board has to make their mark by slashing cost to the bone.

Hell, you can't even get a band aid from the medical box any longer, they've stopped even the smallest of benefits.

I had to move my office about 40 yards to a new one. When I called to have my phone moved, I asked the guy on the phone (obvious Indian accent) where he was located. He answered, "India". It took several days to have my phone hooked up in the new office because I had to call half way around the world to get it scheduled. In turn, they called back half way around the world to America to get a contractor to come out and hook up my phone.

Geezzzzzzzzz! I thank the Lord every day for what I have, but sometimes the mismanagement just puts me in utter awe.
