Moog you really should try to control your intellectual side. You know most people on FR can't comprehend the deep stuff.

Yes, when I go deep, most people don't pass me the ball. If I go off the deep end, it's hard to tread and I need help getting out. If I'm in deep, then I need to get a ladder. It's always a hard process. Now as far as intellect goes, that meants that I always vote for ints, whether they are interesting, interdependent, intelligent, and so on. Those ints are good guys to elect and I would hope that you support me in voting them in in November. We should always be alert because the world needs more lerts.

Freedom of choice. Their choice to make this trash, my choice NOT to watch it...

I don't understand how people could want to boycot a show that they have yet to watch. All this energy being spent on what? To close down a show that might actually BE positive. As for the martini- mom, and pill-popping dad, didn't they just lose their beloved son? That is a devastating tragedy that I am fortunate never to have encountered myself. But I have friends who have, and they have never fully recovered from the loss. I think the idea of a show with Jesus actually appearing to mentor to one of the parents doesn't sound like the sort of thing that rings out evil. Sounds good enough to me to give it a try.

Welcome to FR, "God is watching us". (Jan.6,2006) I noticed your tagline -"True Believers are the ones who live in harmony with each other."

True believers in Jesus Christ are the ones who live in harmony with His Word, by following the Berean example (Acts 17:11 - "These were more fairminded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so.").

True believers, "the sheep follow Him: for they know His voice." (John 10:4)

I think the idea of a show with Jesus actually appearing to mentor to one of the parents doesn't sound like the sort of thing that rings out evil. Sounds good enough to me to give it a try.

"There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death."

"Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world." (1 John 4:1)

You've probably read the same reviews about the show and the people involved with it that I've read.
This show "sounds" to me like an effort by the writer to market his views about the sins mentioned in the description of the show, put his words, voice, and attitude into the mouth of a "Jesus" who is "actually appearing to mentor one of the parents", and to create, and promote, an "understanding" and tolerance of his nonscriptural viewpoint in the responses of, and to, his characters.

That is appallingly offensive to me, and is why I don't want it to air, and have the opportunity to further inhibit "understanding" in young and impressionable minds.

My condolences to your friends in the loss of their son. I understand.
