Just over a week ago, the New York Times revealed the shocking news that the Bush administration has been spying on the international communications of suspected terrorists, thus setting off a rippling artificial scandal in the Times private reflecting pool, the increasingly stagnant mainstream media.
Not to be outdone, U.S. News and World Report put on its water wings Friday and tried to create a splash of it own, by reporting that the same renegade Bush administration has been monitoring radiation levels in the public air -- without a warrant! Gasp! The power-mad Bushies have done this in a diabolical attempt to get early warning of terrorists preparing to use a nuclear or dirty bomb against an American city. According to the story, this program is fraught with all sorts of subtle privacy issues.

Imagine what could be accomplished if the MSM was on the side of the United States.
MSM(Media Suggesting Maniacs), It ain't going to happen.
And that is one of the reasons their circulation continues to decline.
Life Liberty and the pursuit of Infidels to murder. Hey it's their "religion"!

"Imagine what could be accomplished if the MSM was on the side of the United States."
Since this is not going to happen anytime soon, imagine what could be accomplished if the MSM poured gasoline all over themselves and then struck a match...
Or what will be accomplished when they finally go away.
"Since this is not going to happen anytime soon, imagine what could be accomplished if the MSM poured gasoline all over themselves and then struck a match..."
Works for me!
The degree to which the mainstream medias hatred of President Bush has pushed it into a state of logical incoherence is simply amazing. But even more amazing is that this incoherence is not lessened even by the basic human desire to protect innocent peoples lives. Exposing the governments radiation monitoring program in such detail will not help the public fend off any real assault on our liberties. Neither does it contribute to any significant political debate. It wont even harm Bush politically. All it does is inform our terrorist enemies what measures we have taken to catch them before they can harm us, and allow them to attempt more effective countermeasures.
Great article.
Liberals used to be just stupid. Now theyre effing nuts.
So Howie is being quiet (for a change) and pulling puppet strings behind the scenes. Personally, I thought this story was the most laughable yet.
...monitoring radiation levels in the public air -- without a (gasp!) warrant...
This MSM attack on President Bush and De Facto legal support of Terrorist cannot possibly have any resonance with the public. It must surely serve to discredit the MSM source.
The Constitution of the United States plainly states that in order to "provide for the common defense"... "the President shall be the Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy". "Congress shall have Power...To raise and support Armies...". The Judiciary is given no role in defense matters.
Glad somebody is fighting the WOT.
It ain't the Dems!
