"What the future holds is unknown. What is known is that Islamic civilization has a strong tendency to violence that stretches back to the days of Mohammed and that has begun to flare up in resurgent terrorist and revolutionary movements. "

"What the future holds is unknown." Sorry, thats not what is said in Revelations and Psalms

Violent jihad will be finished (at least for this generation) once we've killed enough violent jihadis to convince the remainder to give up violent jihad and pursue the real jihad, the inner jihad that muslim apologists are always talking about. Somewhere inside even violent jihadis (many of them, anyway) there's a little voice capable of saying that living is better than dying. We must make violent jihadis everywhere hear, and heed, that little voice. The ones that won't we must kill.

We've a way to go yet.

Islam is to civilization as cyanide is to Thanksgiving.

Excellent summary. Dispells the myth of "religion of peace."

We are now in only the early phases of this "clash." It sure took a long time to recognize what was taking place.

The true nature of islam was known long before Israel and before oil!!

It is going to change when they finally get their dream of a nuclear weapon and set one off in a major western city.

Then they will be taken seriously.

And then many will die.

"Violent jihad will be finished (at least for this generation) once we've killed enough violent jihadis to convince the remainder to give up violent jihad and pursue the real jihad..."

Apparently you didn't watch the O'Reilly Factor this evening. He had a couple of "reformed" terrorists on the show and, during the interview, they mentioned that there are numerous terror cells in America today. That certainly validated Bush's reasons for spying on Americans for me!

"If the world Muslim community perceived America as attacking Islam in general then----the war against terrorism----would have boiled over into a global conflagration, with the Muslim countries of the world--mobilizing against America and the West -----and then finding itself being utterly destroyed by the Christian/Western countries and our allies, and helplessly watching their false prophet's 'jihad' winging back to the bowels of hell from whence it came.

"I was just a boy when the infidels came in their black hawk helicopters. The infidels fired at the oil fields and they lit up like the eyes of Allah. Burning oil rained down from the sky and cooked everything it touched. I could only hide myself and cry as my goats were consumed by the firey black liquid death. In the midst of the chaos I could swear that I heard my goats screaming for help. As quickly as they had come the infidels were gone. It was on that day I put a jihad on them. And if you don't believe it you better kill me now cause I'll put a jihad on you."

I don't see how your point bears on my point. I didn't distinguish between violent jihadis in America and violent jihadis elsewhere, nor would I.

Just remember...Muslims are like telemarketers.

They continue to deliver the "pitch," even after you've identified exactly who and what they are.

Rational discussion, no matter how they plead, is pointless with them until they admit they are "campaigning."

n the days after September 11, 2001, American leaders rushed to portray Islam as a peaceful religion that had been "hijacked" by a fanatical band of terrorists.

One hopes that these assurances were merely tactical—that nobody was meant to believe them and that they were meant to assure the Muslim world that the inevitable American reprisals were not directed at their religion as a whole.

Sadly they weren't merely tactical. Many Americans don't understand the concept of peace of a westerner is different from the concept of peace for a muslim. Islamic Scholar Warns U.S. of 'Two-Faced' Muslims

The war against terrorism, instead of simmering with occasional flare-ups, like the Cold War, would have boiled over into a global conflagration, with the Muslim countries of the world—1.2 billion strong—mobilizing against America and the West.

I have believed all along that Bush is too strong a Christian not to see Islam as the threat that it really is. Many FReepers get upset when he refers to Islam as the "religion of peace", but I think he has a well thought out game plan. And that is, not to turn 1.2 billion Islamists against us all at once, while hopefully appealing to those who truly desire to live in peace. In the mean time, we can strike at the most radical jihadists and remove the most active threats.

No, I am not exaggerating. Click the pic, go to "last," and read backwards.
If you are not informed about this stuff, you will be made sick. If you are informed, you will be made mad, all over again.
