The last time I spoke to a Republican politician, I referred to him by Liddy's favorite tag of a RINO: pu**y.

He stammered that his job was to work with the opposition. I told him, flat out, "I voted for you to defeat the Left, not hold hands and be friends!"

Needless to say, he's gone come next election.

I'd have to ask my standard..."And how's that workin' for ya?"

My sentiments exactly. Two of the biggest wusses in the senate are from my home state, specifically Frist and Alexander. Lott wasn't any better. Furthermore, the GOP needs to start supporting the CONSERVATIVE primary challengers a few times and a lot of this RINO crap would stop.

It's a sinking feeling to walk in to the ballot box and vote GOP just because they aren't Democrats, and here lately it's been really hard to tell the difference, especially on spending and government intrusion into private matters, ie the Schiavo case, steroids in baseball, etc. I'm waiting any day for them to call up NASCAR crew chiefs about cheating and mandate drug testing in that sport. It'll be really hard to continue with that sport using a grand total of five drivers and about twenty crew members.

I may just lay in a stock of single malt Scotch, some straight sour mash whiskey and a few bags of Doritos and stay home in 06. I might stay sober and go dove shooting.

If the GOP would just send all these National Guard helicopters looking for weed to the southern border, we wouldn't need a fence down there. That's just one issue, but typical of my problems with the current "Rockefeller Republican" direction of the party. We need another Reagan or Goldwater.

Great line, now if only more people felt this way. I don't understand why it's so difficult for Republican politicians to work against Democrats. The excuse I hear a lot is "we see them everyday, off and on all day, and we see them at night at various functions". If anything, you would think that would prompt them to really work against them, but we are in the "hold hands and be friends" phase of party politics, I'm afraid. Sure, they'll snipe at each other in the press, but when they are in the same room, they pretend that none of that exists.
