Frequent question! No I did not play the sousaphone. Other than the very first Script Ohio in 1936, it has been a sousaphone player that dotted the i. By the way, that trumpet player who dotted the first script, John Brungart, just died a few months ago. The history of Script Ohio can be found here. My son is in the band now (trombone) and heads for the Fiesta Bowl this Friday.

I can't decide between Ohio State (class of '83) or my Catholic roots of rooting for Notre Dame as a kid. I'll probably be rooting for Ohio State.
