ABC has two wild card games left. The ESPN crew will do one and Madden & Michaels will do the other one.
Talking about corporate names for parks: The Pats' new stadium was to be CMGI Field
The Celtics/Bruins stadium, now TD Bank North Garden, was all set to be the Shawmut Center (after a bank)--then Shawmut
was bought by Fleet and it was later where the DNC was held.
They already had "Shamut" painted on doors, etc., and had
to re-do them
I think there's a good chance Law will be back next year.
The secondary's job will be made a lot easier if the front seven stops the run and can get heat on the quarterback without having to blitz very often.
Wonder if they'll have Dandy Don sing "Turn out the lights the party's over..."???
I was in the marching band at Ohio State University when in 1979 we performed during halftime during a MNF game. It was at Municipal Stadium and the Browns thumped the Dallas Cowboys. I got a personal wave from Governor James Rhodes (now HE was a GOP governor) and his guest, former President Gerald Ford.
(and actually it hosted some soccer games as CMGI)
Doug Flutie in game, a guy my age (43) and height (5'9")
I think Manning has a better playoff history than Plummer does.
I'm a Bengals fan even during the drought. We do need just a couple more high quality guys on the defense to make this team a Super Bowl winner. The next couple of years will prove to be exciting.
So did you dot the i???
I do remember that. He was the announcer when I first started listen ing to the Reds as a kid.
They already did that (IIRC, between the 3rd and 4th quarters).
I've been waiting for that very thing; it has to happen.
Who Dey!
I would have liked for the team who wins it to have to play in the great outdoors and battle the elements. The Colts will play in their fake surroundings and to me that's not really football at its finest. The buttkissers at ESPN won't agree but they fluff for Manning every week.
I think that Seattle Vs the AFC Champ is going to be a good SB. Pats are not the best team at this point and I'm okay with that.
This Doug Flutie play brought to you by...
ButterFinger (TM)
And now, My Cousin Vinny
It's AARP night at Giants Stadium; Vinny Testaverte is headed into the game after Doug Flutie turned the ball over on downs.
Since he left Baltimore what have they done? Brian Billeck is a fraud.
