When the Vatican announced it would start banning priestly candidates with "deep-seated" homosexual tendencies, Duquesne University student Jonathan Danial thought it was a big mistake.
But he didn't worry that the Vatican's hard line would affect him and other gay students at Catholic universities -- a belief that was bolstered last week when Duquesne University announced it will allow a new Gay-Straight Alliance organization.
Matthew Pratter, who proposed forming the group, said Duquesne supports gay students, and he sees no sign that the Vatican's sentiments are trickling down to the campus.
"I'm not going to let myself be afraid about it yet," he said.

Doing what? Each other?
Vestment design?
Be afraid, be very afraid. ping
""deep-seated" homosexual tendencies,"
Interesting choice of words.
God forbid that should happen at a Catholic college!
What are these people thinking?
The Vatican didn't say gays couldn't be Catholics. Just that they couldn't be priests. What a non-story.
Anyway, let me explain it so even you could understand: the Catholic Cafeteria was/is/always will be CLOSED!
Dear Gay People,
Go ahead and sodomize each other. That's fine. But we're not paying anymore to "research the cause of AIDS." You and your demented lifestyle are steering millions of dollars away from truly unpreventable diseases.
Signed,

Will be a-pinging tomorrow. Thanks!
Ah Catholcism! I was born and raised a Catholic but have since fallen away from the church. If I recall it was about the time I realized a celibate priesthood was/is/am/are the most ridiculous thing I can imagine. Nothing left these days but residual Catholic guilt....which I have always felt has kept me from doing a lot of things in my life that I would have regretted later on.
Is the Catholic Church in the U.S. TRYING to piss off their congregations??
Catering to fagots while trying to force normal congregations out of their churches so the properties can be sold to pay off huge (and well-deserved) legal judgments for fostering child molestation?
"deep-seated" homosexual tendencies,"
I think they meant "deep in the seat".
Do they still use castrati in their choirs?
Isn't this idiotic! The Catholic Church states that homosexuality is a great moral transgression and then allows it's universities to have official groups of those PROUD to be in this SIN. What's next, Campus Hookers Groups?
The Church doesn't own these universities. some of which are about as Catholic in character as Harvard. They have been thumbing their noses at the Vatican.
I long for the days where perverts would "stay in the closet" and didn't stick their pervisons in our faces on a daily basis.
