I've tried something like that. For people who are not close to me it works (somewhat).
But family is the hardest part of the equation.

The family should be the easiest. I mean, they know you, right? Refresh their memories on what you were like as a kid. We all have SOME trait we've carried all these years...with me, it's "Do NOT talk to me until I'm awake." "Just because I'm upright does NOT mean I'm awake!" Or variations...;o]
