To: A.A. Cunningham
Whenever I read this kind of story, I come away from it with three emotions. The first is extreme sorrow that such a young man has to cope with such pain and lifelong crippling.

The second is pride that we are so lucky as to have such men in our country. You just have to marvel that we are so fortunate to have such brave men and women to fight for their country.

The third emotion is burning hatred toward the cowards who inflict such wounds on our soldiers. They are "cowards" because they are afraid to engage our infantry in traditional fighting. Instead, they quiver in their rat holes and construct bombs that they detonate from a distance to kill and maim our soldiers.
