AN Egyptian man discovered on his wedding day that his fiancee of three years was a man who had been concealing his identity behind a veil.
The 26-year-old groom-to-be, Tamer Shehata, was notified by a female guest attending his wedding that his would-be wife was a man in women's clothing.
When Mr Shehata confronted his fiancee, he broke down and revealed that he was actually an 18-year-old man called Ahmed Abo Zeid.
Mr Abo Zeid confessed that he had tried several times to undergo a sex change but had failed to secure doctors' approval.
Mr Abo Zeid, whose face was obscured to Mr Shehata by a niqab or burka (face veil) said he had intended to tell after they were married, and had hoped to convince Mr Shehata to consummate the marriage.
Mr Abo Zeid was held for 45 days on charges of swindling and posing as a woman.

Kinda weird to think you might marry a 'person' without seeing them... even after 3 years of going out.
This guy better check under the hood before buying the next car.

Don't they get checked for "virginity" first anyway? Or am I thinking about some other culture?

Mr Abo Zeid confessed that he had tried several times to undergo a sex change but had failed to secure doctors' approval. He should have told the doctors that his pecker was an infidel.

It's bad enough...but to be told AT YOUR WEDDING?????!!!! ROFLMAO!!!!! My husband had a friend (the friendship ended when the guy made some insulting comments about my being Jewish. My husband hit him with fish and threw him across the bar. I guess you had to be there!) ANYWAY, this stupid idiot gave his life savings to this "woman" he met in the Phillipines who he planned to marry. She said she wanted to open up a bar with him. Long story short...she turned out to be a he and this moron ended up with nothing!

...nothing new, at least if he and his new "bride" could've won a free trip to San Francisco, to renew their wedding vows, they could have become guest of the city. Another reason photo drivers licenses are needed. (with out "burka's)
wait?....can he legally stone him..her....it for bringing shame to his or her ,or it's family?

There was a 'Malcolm in the Middle' episode which addressed this.
Reese ran off and enlisted in the Army as a 17-year-old, was deployed to Afghanistan, and when he got there, immediately deserted. He wore a burka to conceal who he was as he wandered around trying to get back home.
Turns out some Afghanistan dude wanted to marry him.
Reese: "I told him I was really a guy, but he said it wasn't a deal-breaker!"
Life imitates art.

The great thing about stupidity is that it's largely a self correcting state of being.
Stupid people rarely amass enough assets to do serious harm to others and when the rest of us are really fortunate they remove themselves from the gene pool entirely.

Wow, I wonder how many other homosexual relationships in Muslim societies are concealed by a burkha?
To: visagoth
A perfect example of how Islam unquestioningly controls the gullible.
The guy didn't even cop a feel?!
How do you "cop a feel" on the motives of your religious leaders if you are a blind follower?!
