Not your great grandad's dad. You have to go a lot farther back than that.
You may also prefer to believe that the Earth is the center of the Universe, but it doesn't make it so. Both of these beliefs are based on wishful thinking, and both of these beliefs ignore the evidence.
You are, of course, entitled to your emotional response. But you can't pretend that it's anything more than just that.
