Fair enough. But the Amish wear the clothes they do to show their separation from the world. It is the same reason they don't use electricity or drive cars. It has more to do with culture than religion. And when you hear of any members from one of those very private and unassuming cultures demanding that the rest of the world follow their traditions "or else", let me know. I don't recall ever reading accounts of anyone having their ankles beat with sticks wielded by Amish grandmothers seeking to enforce Amish tradition.
