Having a wireless network is worth every penny! I've even got a wireless printer server so that my printer is in one room away from everything else.

Hey, that's GREAT (about the new team members, that is).

Thank you for helping us keep focus on what this project is really about-it's not (only) about getting high rankings, it's going towards scientific research. I had no idea that truckers suffered such high rates of cancer. Why is that?

Ever eaten at a truck stop? Even hidden under a lot of ketchup, you can still detect the lingering taste of diesel fuel...

Actually, I grew up eating at truck stops, and while there are some VERY GOOD ones, with good food, they are far outnumbered by the number of greasy spoons..

Someone should do a study on it someday, but my common sense tells me that it's a combination of lifestyle.. mostly sedentary (even though driving is hard work, you're not really working that old cardiovascular system), Diet, ie, the truckstops, and more junk food, than is normal.. who doesn't know about "road food" --- ever read what's in that package of beef jerky you're nibbling on?, and then you have the fumes and the ever present hydrocarbons of being on the highways almost 24/7.....

I'm sure Papasmurf can tell many more stories than I can, but I know of two truckers, who almost asphyxiated themselves, in the sleeper cab, which is right above the idling engine... trying to catch a few hours sleep so they can meet the log book requirements....

Thanks for the kind words. I've now got one of my Brother's and his wife online with 3 maybe 4 pc's, too.

I have some wireless now. This lappy that's doing so well for me is on a wireless connection, and, another lappy is also wireless, as well as my KJAM.

I have an access point and a wireless/ethernet router, next I'm looking for a wireless print server or wireless printer with a bunch of features, then I'll get some wireless cards for the desktops.

You're right, the focus is on the medical and human benefits, the points are just for fun and additional motivation.

Why do truckers contract anything? Our lifestyle sucks. LOL We are constantly and consistantly subjected to toxic fumes, we live in an enclosed atmosphere with poor ventilation systems, we eat fried crap 3, 4 or even 5 times a day (some of us), we're in a seated position being thrown about and slammed up and down for hours and hours on end, and we're so beat when we finally do come home-we don't even feel like working out, going to the doctors' office, or planning for a healthier future. And to top it all off, most of us get treated like dogs, cheated out of our earnings, and cussed at so much, we get depressed and lose our self esteem. Other than that, no reason in particular. LOL

I've been blessed. I've been able to cope and overcome and succeed, and not let most of it get to me, but many, many, aren't so lucky.

Anyway, I see that we've moved up, gained on several other teams, increased our cpu's and team members, and we are on a roll! WooHoo!!!

I'm working on using two consoles on my mp boxes. That could help up my job counts a lot. I better get back to it.

Thanks again,

:O)
