Well, we can't do much for BeOS ...

F@H can run alongside of BOINC, but you've noted how troublesome that project can be. Would you consider downloading the console version and running it as a service? That one seems very stable.

Third and fourth items on the download page may do you some good ...

Question:
I just read your post #10. I just completed my first work unit yesterday. (Yay! 93 pts.) However, I'm running the program so that it's not running as a service. I have the icon in the taskbar.
1) I should switch from that and download the "No-nonsense text-only console"? Will that speed processing?
2) To do that I should uninstall what I now have and then do a new install?
Would doing this make a difference?

"...console version and running it as a service? That one seems very stable."

I had a problem with the console version - (that may be shared by the GUI version).

This was not a stability problem, but I plugged in a USB camera that rebooted my system for some reason. My current WU restarted back at 0% - when it had been working just over a week and was up to 70% [UGH]. FAH seems to save its work every couple of hours, I don't understand why this should happen, but on the forum, there were comments from other people who had this experience.
