Extreme Overclockers Stats for Free Republic ^

We expect to pass 200,000 total points on New Years Eve!

We have a chance to pop into the Top 1000 Teams by Saturday if we can have a few more systems added to the pack.

Don't look now, but we're on track to bust 200,000 tonight.... we're #97 on total points contributed today, and still climbing...

O.K...I just downloaded the console client for Linux....What "team number" do I enter?

I'm still reading the install notes, so I might have it all figured out by the time you get back with me. :-) Thanks.

Alrighty, I retired SETI and put 3 more boxes online for y'all - got a 40-pointer coming up in a couple of hours, and 400 more in a couple of days :)

I had done SETI for years, and reached over 20000 (along with the help of some idle computers at a university...).

If I had known that Freepers were doing SETI, I probably would have had them count here. As it was, I let DH post them under Team Navy (I believe it was...)

Anybody running the client on Linux or FreeBSD? I've got a standard method of backrounding processes, but just thought I'd ask before I try it on this.

"nohup command-name&" ought to work shouldn't it?

Thanks! :-)

Well, I joined and in 3.5 days I have 3 WU and 178 points. Is that poor, avg, or good? What should we be able to do or avg per CPU?

I have a couple of slower systems (P-II & P-III) that I could reconfigure and add to the mix in a week or two (work gets in the way, LOL). But would they really do very much for the team? I can use Win98 (or Linux Red Hat, but that would take longer as I'm just learning about it and would have to find the right drivers, etc).

On my current system, I have the Windows folding program, but I could use the console for the other systems.

What say ye?

RT
