I have read much of the Talmud. Probably much deeper than you are asuming. I wouldn't go thinking that you know more than I do. I am not insulting your religion, but I will not refrain from pointing out how some people, like Judy Maltz use it.
I do not recall reading in the article Judy Maltz quoting from the "Talmud" to justify her actions. Please do not blame Talmud for the activities of these kind of people.
Which mesechtes of the Talmud have you studied?
