You can buy firewood in New York. You just have to pay through the nose for it. Not a problem if you have more money than you can spend.
From a NY'er POV NY is a place devoid of class [not in the marxist terms of "classless society", of course] and is bound to remain that way. "Class" is associated with the likes of Lee and Custis.

"Class" to me is an inherent nobility of character, independent of origin or wealth. This rodent (and 98% of democrats) lack the moral fiber to have class.
How many generations does it take to develope class? Toward what purpose? And who would be doing the judging?
This is a good old poem who's author escapes me but answers your question, I think.
