Then go to a doctor and determine if your problem keeps you from getting to your store or appointment. And your doctor will write a letter certifying your condition to give to the DMV. You'll then get the blue placard. Nothing stops you from getting one if the need is there.

I don't want to give the impression I am opposed to any handicapped parking spaces or accessible entrances and so on. I am just opposed to the ADA entire, as exemplified by this article.

I am not wealthy (putting it mildly), rarely visit doctors, have no health insurance. I take care of my arthritis with herbs, and if I force myself to exercise, it's much better. It's actually improved a lot in the last year and I limp a lot less than I used to. If it got way worse, I'd go for the card.
