A sad holiday season for the Dungy family.
Too many ignore signs of suicidal depression. This young man probably had friends who knew but didn't want to see the reality.
RIP.

I wish they'd give a clue as to what evidence makes them think this is a suicide.

"Too many ignore signs of suicidal depression"
I think there are eight signs that point to suicide, if a person shows four or five of them this means trouble, but this death could also be accidental. It's really tragic considering the time of year and the person Tony Dungy is. Something is terribly wrong when a parent has to go to his or hers child's funeral.

I wish people would not speculate about another family's grief.
It's really none of anyone's business, even tho the man is 'public' figure.Just my opinion.

It was reported that James Dungy called 911 a few weeks ago aftger taking 13 Naproxen (Alleve.) They showed a copy of the polict report. Florida has something - I think they called it the Baker Act - that allows police to take someone into protective custody. They did this to James but apparently released him. The whole report was strange in that it bought this topic up and showed the police report, but ended without offering any conclusions from what was reported to be a first attempt at suicide some weeks ago.

Not commenting or even suggesting anything about this case but in situations where a person has died of suffocation, many are ruled suicides that were really sexual accidents.

Was I the only one who briefly saw the thread yesterday about James Dungy's myspace.com web page and postings? It was a portrait of a dark and disturbed young man. One post even stated, in more or less terms, "I can't talk to anyone anymore." There were lots of references to drugs and the rap culture. It was really sad.
The thread here was pulled, and his myspace.com page disappeared a while later.
