It's about as offensive as saying cops like donuts.
I always joke that if my community ever does become dangerous, I will always be able to go to convenience stores and fast food joints because the cops do a good job making sure they're safe here (actually it's quite true here:).
Well, they're the ones that tend to get robbed. I know I feel a lot better about going in one of those places at night if there's a man with a gun there. I mean a COP with a gun.
