"he has a good amount of music from the 1940s and 1950s and apparently is fond of Johnny Cash." I knew Big Time kicked butt for a reason...

They don't get a free ride. Every AF1 and AF2 seat not occupied by an official on official business is paid for, typically at a First Class fare for an equivalent commercial itinerary. The campaign or the RNC paid for Bush and Cheney's own seats when they traveling on campaign trips last year.

I always carry an octopus and a very short multi-outlet extension cord with me when I've got electronic devices, but apparently nobody in the press corps has that sort of foresight.

But when Cheney said his iPod needed to be recharged, it took precedent above all else and dominated one precious outlet for several hours. It's HIS damned plane while he's VP, the journalists can shut the hell up and start packing spare batteries

But of course, the VICE PRESIDENT of the United States Should stand down in his preparedness and allow Godlike reporters to file their reports. They are soooooo much more important than the VICE PRESIDENT.
Unbelievable it is, simply astounding the arrogance of these folks!
To: dennisw
Hmmm. I just remembered that iPods can be recharged via a FireWire port, which most laptops have these days. So did nobody think to plug a laptop into the wall and then plug the iPod into that?
