Police say a woman who has performed in several X-rated films persuaded a 15-year-old De Anza High School student to run away from home, use hallucinogenic drugs and have sex with her last summer.

Having been a fifteen-year-old with percolating hormones, I have to wonder how truly difficult a sales job that was...

20-year-old porn actress: "Hi there. Wanna get high and screw?"
15-year-old high-schooler: "...Okay."

It was the part about hiding him from his parents and transporting him to Oklahoma that disturbs me.

Excellent find. I hope someone sues the producer of this film as a contributing factor. I think I remember Ebert giving a thumbs up to "girl next door". Sue him too.

"Those are the children most likely to be abused or taken advantage of by adults."

Having read the story, wherein it states that the father of the boy placed him in an out of state rehabilitation facility, I deduced the following:
1. The boy probably was in a rehabilitation facility for drug users, as there are no rehab centers for "15 year old boys who screw 20 year old porn stars".
2. The father seems to have achieved some financial success, based upon his being able to place the boy in an out of state facility.

If I am correct in the above deductions, then I must ask for a definition of the "Those - - children". Are you saying that the children of affluent families are most likely to be abused or taken advantage of?

While I don't think that leaving home was a wise move on the part of the boy, for such a 15 year old male to take up the offer of a sexual relationship with what must be a relatively attractive 20 year old female used to be readily understood.

"Used to" = before political correctness and Liberals in agencies intruding into how a family raises their children.

One can't help both wondering if the boy knew of her past, and whether the boy contracted any diseases from his less than well thought out affair.

But, given the horniness of 15 year old males, for Americans to criminalize nature is an astonishing act of legal hubris.
Next to be legislated, laws requiring cats to be herded, and for all snakes to lay in straight lines.

"You been around 15 year old girls lately

I'd advise no one answer this one. This guy's clearly a Fed."

If you are correct, I'd suggest that all FReepers keep their children away from this Fed (and all others) due to the well known propensity of Feds towards uncontrollable compulsions to violate - the Constitution. ;-)

"Those Children" are those with drug or psychological problems.

As far as the age, lines have to be drawn somewhere and now that line is 18 years old in most places (legality). The minute it is okay for a 20 year old to have sex with a 15 year old than they will push to lower the age to 14 etc.

Since this is a conservative forum, may I suggest that allowing the parents to deal with these situations will work, whereas allowing the 900# gorilla of government into the picture assures bad outcomes.

Historically, the father took a bat to Chester the Molester and that was that. Now we have a swarm of officers loosed upon the public, taking children from their homes and often subjecting the "rescued children" to more abuse than they were originally encountering.

While families are often far from perfect, one thing that government can't successfully do is raise children.

And when we allow it to try, we impoverish ourselves (all those 'crats, cops, judges, guardians at litum, ad nauseam aren't free) and accomplish little or nothing.

Keep families free of such "intervention" as we read about in this "criminal case".

Most 15 year old girls find most boys too retarded to deal with at that age. Girls are more mentally mature at that age.
We've got more important things to think about - like careers.

I couldn't agree more. Someday they'll wake up and make it a crime to transport anyone to Oklahoma.

When I was in HS a classmate ran away with his father's BankAmericard. Things have really improved on the runaway scene.

Gotta be more money in it than that. she could be down on the street corner making $100 with less stress, less time, and no one the wiser.

I agree the minor actors/actresses don't get much, but I've always heard it was about 1500.

Maybe the 100 figure you heard was how much the male actors have to pay to get on the set.

Wow, If I were a 15-year old boy, I cannot imagine a worse nightmare than being seduced by a porn star! The HORROR!!!

A woman cannot "rape" a 15-year old boy.
A woman cannot "rape" a 15-year old boy.
A woman cannot "rape" a 15-year old boy.
A woman cannot "rape" a 15-year old boy.

When will prosecutors get this through their heads. Pushing drugs on a minor? Abduction? Possibly yes. Rape? IMPOSSIBLE.

The drug use is getting glossed over here. Meth is a life wrecker.

Out of curiosity, how do you know the going rates per scene in a porn film?
