I'm sure the people who signed the petition are not ashamed of having done so. This is a silly move on the part of this group.

The petition is a matter of public record, I'm sure. Therefore, anyone can publish it, if they want. It just seems stupid to me to do so. Why would anyone care that people know they signed the petition?

Just checked - delighted to see I made the list. If it is a choice of answering to the Lord or to these activists - well, I'll take the Lord. Jesus made the definition of marriage very explicit in Mt 19:4-6. He answered, "Have you not read that he who made them from the beginning made them male and female, 5 and said, 'For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh'? 6 So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man put asunder."

It isn't the posting of the names that is the issue. The issue is the historical precedent of these groups to assault and harass people who don't share their proclivities. I don't care if they know my position on marriage, I do care if they come out to my home and harass my family.

Thomas Lang hides behind a PO Box in Manchester-By-The-Sea but the fax number shows they are in Danvers. Now, a quick visit to City Hall and the List of Persons will show Mr. Lang's address so that people who protest intimidation can picket at his house. Any Freepers in Danvers MA going to be near city hall at lunchtime?
