The "pension demands" were thrown in at the last moment Tuesday night by that MTA idiot Kalikow. Why should the "line" he held on such a ridiculous proposal? 2% to 6%? a 300% increase? Why throw that in like that, unless you WANT to union to strike.
We have a winner!! I'm sure Kalikow threw that in to force a strike and try to turn public sentiment against them. You can say that the union has screwed the public, but if you do, don't forget him. He's as culpable as anyone...
