That's what I get for going from memory! Still, the point was that that biplane was pretty primitive, certainly not our first choice as a plane to send after Bismark. And yet it sank the Bismark.

No, the Swordfish did NOT "sink the Bismark". The torpedeo it launched jammed the rudder and damaged a fuel tank of the Bismark. Then the trail of leaking fuel and the fact that the Bismark was doomed with its now jammed rudder to steam in a circle allowed the Royal Navy to locate, catch and sink the pride of the Nazi surface navy.
