A REAL conservative BELIEVES in the constitution...most of you guys are sell-outs. Sorry but I call them as I see them.
Bush is WRONG on this issue.

Nothing, whatsoever, was lost on me, nor my students ( since I taught them all about it.) about the book "1984". But it would seem that YOU require a vast amount of teaching, to bring you up to speed about it.
Do you also use other works of fiction...oh say, books such as "ATLAS SHRUGGED", perhaps, to inform you and color your opinions about REAL life? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm....?
Let's see now, the rabid IslamoNazi/al Qaeda/ OBL connected have been attacking us, on American soil and off, for more than a decade, but we didn't do a damned thing about any of it until 9/11, but you are now saying/implying, that President Bush is keeping us in a "perpetual war" for no good reason, other than to enrich himself and his friends. Right? That IS what you are really saying; isn't it...TROLL?

I think Dorgan, Kerry, Reid, Levin .. not sure about Cantwell, but she was leading the pack in getting ANWR stripped
I believe Warner came out yesterday speaking out against Stevens putting ANWR in the bill the way he did and sided with Reid
Oh and don't forget that speech today of Bryd's .. saying he loves Stevens but loves the Senate more

"
...copy of the Secret Service logs from right after the OK City bombing where the agent is discussing a video he watched of the suspects,..."
That too. There is a "Middle Eastern" looking guy involved in that also. Let's open it all up for open and public consumption. Those OKC bombing guys never struck me as people smart enough to do that alone.

Decades old question being the 4th Amendment to the Constitution...
No, questions more along the lines of how to deal with a borderless, homeless enemy in a war that can never truly be declared or ended. That sort of thing. One of those groups of questions that came to the fore-front when al qaeda hit us at home the first time, in 1993.

The second they started frisking little old ladies at the airport.Frankly, they're not doing it enough IMO.

Great ..There will be a big smoking hole someday where a US city once stood . Then we can all stand around it and say how we at least preserved our civil liberties..Stupid ass people
To: Howlin
Oops, among the charges, they said he was liar, did his work in the dark of the night and that he threatened Senators to get their vote.

I am of the mind that I would rather fight them on my front porch than put up with any more of this intrusive BS.Harry Reid would be blushing to hear you say that. Because he quite frankly feels the same way you do.
To: NapkinUser
Don't try to high jack threads!
Either discuss a thread's topic, or find one that suits your liking.
You get brushed off, dear, because you add NOTHING at all to a thread but disruption.
We get it, we get it...you don't like the PA, but you don't post a rebuttal nor a refutation. You are fact challenged and pure emotion.

Here's the
text (in PDF format) of the law as passed in 2001. I'm not sure what sections are due to sunset, but I don't believe any changes have been made to them other than the date of expiration.

Let's open it all up for open and public consumption.
I once got to ask someone who probably knew quite a lot about the government's response to the OK City bombing and did ask him about the seeming lack of interest after the secret service memo came to light. The response I got back was something along the lines of "just because the trial has stopped does not mean the investigation did also."

Exactly so...great catch! :-)
And please allow me to wish you and yours a VERRY MERRY CHRISTMAS and a most HAPPY NEW YEAR !
To: Gunslingr3
"What you want is called an 'enabling act'". Not even. Never heard of that. Sounds like a weak excuse, IMO.
It's called the "Patriot Act" and not one AMERICAN has been caused any grief due to its guidelines.
Bring it back full steam.......indefinite.
Obviously.
PS....I really liked the World Trade Center Towers and don't want any other BS here, K? Good.

To: P-40
"He said he would look at continuing the hearings...but that was September..." Other Republican senators may insist on hearings, if Spectre doesn't keep his mouth shut. I hope he doesn't, so he will look incompetant and become replaced.
