That all depends on what YOU consider a "REAL" Conservative to be.

Yes, Able Danger is starting in the House with Kurt Weldon.

I check Weldon's website daily. I've even thought of writing to him and asking if he can get a copy of the Secret Service logs from right after the OK City bombing where the agent is discussing a video he watched of the suspects, plural, leaving the truck before it detonates. Seems like he would have the courage to ask about that.

Yup. Turn the football off and watch this unfold. Able Danger is just the thing Spectre doesn't expect around the corner. It will cost him his wallet:)

That is precisely what you implied. That because XX numbers of Senators are now not for the Patriot Act, that neither were the same proportion of the American populace. Go read your own post.

The Dems who are playing at being against the PA, are doing so for political reasons. It's the same reason why they wanted to be photographed WITH the president, when he signed it originally. Now, they are trying to bring this president down, by any means possible.

Are you certain that you're on the right forum? LOL

"Go back to DU, you newbie troll!"

Yep, you caught me. I'm from DU because I don't support the PATRIOT act. There are a lot of DUmmies here, aren't there. The libertarians are DUmmies too.

By God everyone who doesn't agree with president Bush on everything is a closet DUer!

Sheesh.

You're avoiding the debate. Why?

He says he will go to everyone's state and tell the people what the Senate did

Good. People need to know that the Senate is screwing around with the lives and safety of every American.

I wanted to cry; when are the Republicans EVER going to see that the Democrats will say or do anything about ANYBODY to further their cause.

I said on another thread that he was breaking my heart. Even now I am still sad to have seen a man of his age, a WWII vet no less, almost helpless to retaliate against those who smeared his name.

"The Dems who are playing at being against the PA, are doing so for political reasons."

Well that I agree with. They're doing the right thing for the wrong reason.

The Republicans would never have treated Senator Bryd the way Stevens was treated

Frist stabbed Stevens in the back with what he did today; Frist needs to go.

Frist's vote is merely a procedural vote. His vote was to ensure this comes up again for debate. He's not stabbing anyone in the back. In fact, Frist supports ANWR. The Democrats were the ones howling the loudest about ANWR even being attached to the bill, because they are dead set against drilling in ANWR because they have the environmentalist wackos in their corner.

But frankly I'd expect that from people without facts on their side.

Exactly which facts that I posted about the United States Post Office were wrong?

"Oh I'm hurt. Seriously there is no need to be rude. But frankly I'd expect that from people without facts on their side."

I hate to even butt into this, however...........

Your very "user name" would supply far more "rude comments" than you likely have heard here.

If you stop and think about that...You'll find that I do have "facts" on my side.

what debate, you haven't addressed what specific aspects of the act you are against.

I asked you about why roving wiretaps should be disallowed. why should they be?

Unfortunately as the 'threat' (threat being whatever our Republican leaders tell us it is) gets worse, the amount of surveillance acceptable will grow. And 'conservatives' will support it willingly. Because it's to protect us don't you know..
